All reservation requests received before the cut-off date will be based on the availability of the current hotel rates. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Zaria Hyatt Hotels Association of Nigeria since 1995 and has held a number of academic and administrative positions at the University of Lagos and other universities in Nigeria. He is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of International Relations and Professor of International Relations and International Affairs at the Zariya College of Management.
Mavhunga's essays have appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. He is the recipient of the International Relations and International Affairs Award for his contributions to international relations and international affairs, which he received in 2015 from the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and other organizations.
Clapperton Chakanetsa Mavhunga's latest book is titled Mobile Workshop: The New Nigeria, edited by Dr. Aderonke Adesanya and Co - written by Professor of Chemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park. His current book project focuses on "African Modes of Chemistry" and focuses on the development of new approaches to chemistry in Africa, Africa and Africa in general, with a particular focus on Africa's role in the global economy.
He began his career at the University of Lagos (Akoka Yaba, Nigeria), where he moved with his family to the USA in 1993 and became director of the Center for Cultural Studies. His professional experience includes research in the fields of chemistry, anthropology, economics, sociology and political science. He earned his Master's and PhD from Indiana University, where he studied with Professor Roy Sieber. Mavhunga joined MIT in 2003 after earning his doctorate from the University of Michigan and his master's degree from Harvard University.
